Overview: In recent years, NCCU has actively promoted “Sustainability Courses,” encouraging faculty to integrate the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their teaching and design courses with a global outlook and social impact. Through a keyword-based inventory, the University offered 792 sustainability-related courses in 2023, accounting for 14.20% of all courses — a clear sign that sustainability has become a defining feature of NCCU’s teaching culture.

Description: SDGs course content covers a wide range of topics, with the richest offerings in SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). Coverage is also expanding into areas such as partnerships and healthy cities. These courses are led by units including the International College of Innovation and the College of Social Sciences, showcasing NCCU’s strength in sustainability across the humanities and social sciences. If you wish to strengthen your course’s social connections, interdisciplinary value, or international perspective, a sustainability-focused course is an excellent direction to explore. We welcome faculty to join the sustainability teaching movement and cultivate future citizens who are both responsible and action-oriented.
