To encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, enrich teaching expertise, and promote innovative instructional practices, National Chengchi University (NCCU) has launched the Faculty Teaching Development Communities Subsidy Program. Managed by the Center for Teaching and Learning Development under the Office of Academic Affairs, the program offers financial support and structured guidance to cultivate vibrant faculty-led learning communities that enhance classroom instruction and research capacity.
✨ Program Objectives The initiative is guided by three core goals:
Encourage faculty to form autonomous communities to exchange teaching experiences and foster professional development.
Support curriculum design, development of assessment tools, instructional innovation, and interdisciplinary teaching.
Promote practice-oriented teaching research and strengthen student-centered course development.
👩🏫 Eligibility & Requirements
Communities must consist of 4 to 8 full-time NCCU faculty members, and include members from at least two different academic units.
Each faculty member may join only one community and must nominate a full-time faculty convener.
During the execution period (January to December each year), each member must offer at least one course that incorporates community-developed outcomes.
