To help students enhance their learning outcomes, NCCU has implemented an academic consultation and tutoring system, training senior undergraduate students with professional knowledge to serve as academic consultation teaching assistants. The tutoring targets enrolled students, with one-on-one sessions as the principle approach, emphasizing strategies to address students' actual difficulties rather than completing assignments for them. Consultation assistants must be recommended by faculty members and approved by the Office of Academic Affairs before employment, with hourly wages ranging from NT$350 to NT$450 depending on education level. The tutoring period mainly runs from the beginning of the semester through midterm. Academic consultation teaching assistants are required to participate in initial briefings and final sharing sessions, and submit record report forms.
